Concept

"Peace Game" is a cooperative simulation where players work together to maintain balance and harmony in a procedurally generated world. Unlike traditional war games, the goal is conflict resolution and resource sharing.

Core Mechanics

  • Diplomacy: Negotiate with AI factions to resolve disputes.
  • Resource Management: Distribute resources equitably to prevent scarcity-driven conflict.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to natural disasters and social unrest cooperatively.

Technical Implementation

A large-scale simulation powered by Unreal Engine 5 and C++:

  • World Generation: Procedural generation algorithms written in C++ for vast, unique landscapes.
  • AI Systems: Complex behavior trees and EQS (Environment Query System) for intelligent faction interactions.
  • Performance: Utilizing Unreal's Mass Entity system for handling thousands of agents efficiently.

Art & Story

The narrative and visuals work together to convey a message of harmony:

  • Environmental Storytelling: The world itself tells the history of past conflicts and the path to peace.
  • Atmosphere: Stylized art direction enhanced by UE5's post-processing stack to create a calming aesthetic.

Achieve a state of global stability and prosperity for a set duration, ensuring all factions survive and thrive.
